After graduation you become impatient, waiting for an opportune moment to apply your solid knowledge into practice. Now you feel able to realize your dream about wealth and recognition. Finally you have the possibility to work in a team of professionals that will make your skills tailored closer to perfection you always strived for. Years later you become an honorary citizen, a respectable professional, and a good family man but there is always something more you look for. In a life of a human there is always a circumstance that make you feel lacking something.

You call off your vacation; have an argument with the family and race to work to see that special circumstance that made you sacrifice vacation and good family atmosphere for the sake of it. And there he is lying quietly on his bed, his eyes closed. You do not pay attention to contradictory views of your colleagues. In your mind you refresh euthanasia essay writing you were occupied with in university. Your mind wonders back to college, to those essays you considered useless being a student. How wrong you were, thinking that you'll never deal with such a thing. Opinions you tried to express in your euthanasia essay writing are quite contradictory. Obviously you didn't give a problem a good look and completed the assignment for the sake of your grade. You didn't even have in mind that you would face this problem in your practice. This is one of the hardest ever choices you'll make: will your patient or will he not suffers till his death comes.

Nowadays this problem still is viewed from different angles. In Middle Ages a killing was a solution for hopeless patients doctors had. But this is the 21st century that is characterized by extreme individualism and humanism that the majority expresses (www.aacsb.edu). People just do not see the word merciful near the world killing that sounds as loud as a church bell in everybody's ears. People say it is not our priority to choose whether a person lives or dies. In some countries shutting down the power of life supporting apparatus is forbidden by law. But if a person is indeed humane, he will never leave a person suffering, except the specific circumstance requires this. Euthanasia is a problem that can be discussed forever, but the only aspect of the problem that we are interested right now is professional ethics of a doctor. In such a situation a doctor is likely to remember the Hippocrates Swearing you give being a senior year student at the university. He promises to help the sick and needy regardless their financial or social status. How to determine merciful killing: is it a kind of help or an act that is beyond any human right? Most of the doctors will not allow such a thing even though the case is known for being hopeless. In this prospective, is a doctor that allows it a good professional that cares about those whom he treats or just another killer that does his job? Doctors swear to do everything in their power to take care of the patient and keep the hope and life within the body as long as it is required. Some laws permit doctors to shut down the apparatus but only after the research of the motivation of relatives. It is a common fact that greedy family members imagine themselves killing two ducks with one bullet: stop the suffering of the relative and get a good piece of his property as an inheritance. There are a lot of facts to consider and only then to make a decision. If you decide whether you will or will not be able to take one's life even if leaving further is a torture, only then you'll be worth to be called a professional and an honorary citizen.
