Purpose of Life: Why It's Important To Know What Your Purpose In Life Is...

When people look at you, are they inspired by someone who's fulfilling their purpose in life?

Or, do they see someone who's a drifter on life's highway and for who they have little respect?

If you have a spouse or children, what do they see in you?

The man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder - a waif, a nothing, a no man. - Thomas Carlyle

There are people the world over who are asking themselves the question, "What is my purpose in life?"

Sadly, most of these people live their entire lives never knowing the answer to this question.

And, this is an all-important question to ask and answer. Actually, it's more than that. This is the PIVOTAL question upon which your entire life rests. This question brings you to 'T' in your life's road.

If you get the answer right, you take the right turn and enjoy all the satisfaction of living your life in harmony with your purpose.

If you get the answer wrong, you take the wrong turn in life and face a life-time of frustration, dissatisfaction, and unresolved tension all because of the imbalances in your life and lack of harmony with your purpose.

To add even more significance to this question of "What is my life's purpose", you understand that it is literally a life-and-death question.

You know this because at one time or another, you've come in contact with people who were pronounced "terminally ill" by medical authorities but yet these people lived 20, 40, even 60 years beyond what the authorities said they would live. All because they were so busy with "doing their purpose" that they didn't have time to die.

In contrast, you've seen people who retired and then passed away within two or three years because they no longer had any purpose in their life.

Similarly, you've seen cases where something so-called "bad" happened in a person's life - at which point they decided they no longer had any purpose, use, or value in life - and they too soon passed away.

These various points raise some important personal questions:

* Would you like for other people to respect you more?
* Do you seek more of a "worthwhile" feeling than what you have now?
* Do you wish to know that living your life has "value" in and to the world?
* Would you like to live longer?
* Are you ready to move past wondering where and what you're place in life is?
* Do you desire greater satisfaction, achievement, and harmony in life?
* Are you ready to get above mere existence to exciting purpose?

Getting your own personal answer to the question, "What is my purpose in life?" turns all of these questions into a reality in your life.
